Even if you don’t have tickets to Super Bowl XLIII, or at least a reservation at one of Tampa’s 21,000 hotel rooms, you can still see plenty of the host city all this week by way of the nearest TV screen. Several networks are set up around town providing continual coverage (not quite around the clock, but close) of the events leading up to Sunday night’s game/party.
ESPN has taken over a waterside park in Downtown Tampa that provides scenic views of some of the city’s most impressive office buildings—Bank of America Plaza, 100 North Tampa and Park Tower, just to name a few. Various high-rise hotels and condo towers (or are those apartments?) even show up nicely in the background.
